AUDIO LR14BASS
Adding to its L Series, Alcons introduces the LR14Bass, a high-output
bass system designed as a low-frequency extension to the LR14
ultra-compact ribbon line array module. The LR14B can be flown, stacked

AUDIO-TECHNICA ENDORSERS SHINE AT

During the ABC televised broadcast of the 33rd Annual American Music
Awards (November 22, 2005, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles),
Audio-Technica endorsers Los Lonely Boys, Hilary Duff and Kenny Chesney
gave dramatic performances using a wide selection of the company's wired

Francis Cabrel Puts on Benefit Concert With InnovaSon
French singer/songwriter Francis Cabrel has put on a benefit concert at
the Palais des Congrès in Paris for the musicians in New Orleans.
Once the extent of the damage in New Orleans became clear, Cabrel wasted
no time in creating the non-profit organization SOS Musiciens de la
Nouvelle Orleans with friend and fellow musician Zachary Richard with
the sole objective of putting together a benefit concert in aid of the
city's community of musicians. MORE
Norway's Hydro Parties With Meyer Sound
When Hydro celebrated its 100th birthday this year, the company
generously opened the festivities to everybody (with more than 120,000
local residents attending) in the capital city of Oslo. The main
attraction was a free concert featuring a-ha, the Oslo Symphony and
guest soloist Sissel performing soundtrack music from The Lord of the
Rings. A massive reinforcement system based on Meyer Sound M Series

KING CENTER
FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS REOPENS WITH LAKE TECHNOLOGY
The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts
(Melbourne, Fla.) has reopened following major renovations totaling $1.3
million to improve the sight lines and concert sound system at the main
theater, including installing four Lake Contour digital speaker
processors and two Lake Mesa Quad EQ digital matrix processors. The six
Lake Technology processors, which were supplied along with a wireless
touch pad and access point, control multiple zones of loudspeakers at
the 2,000-seat performing arts hall. MORE
Church Builds Hope on A&H Board
The new House of Hope Worship Center has opened on Chicago's South Side
with an 80-channel Allen & Heath ML5000 automated VCA mixing console
installed in its broadcast studio. The Allen & Heath console was
supplied and installed by Audio Analysts Inc. (www.audioanalysts.com) as part of a $1.4
million custom sound system. MORE
Danley Sound Outfits Performance Center
Danley Sound Labs' SH-100 and DTS-20 form the backbone of the
cutting-edge sound system in the new Badon H. Brown Performance Pavilion
in the Aiken Center for the Arts in Aiken, S.C. The SH-100 is a
wide-dispersion, fully horn-loaded full-range loudspeaker, and the
Danley DTS-20 is a high-output, extreme low-frequency response

Furman Protects Grace Church
Grace Church, a large non-denominational house of worship serving the
Twin Cities metropolitan area of Minnesota, has completed an upgrade of
its audio/video system that incorporates several Furman products.
Performed by Audio Logic Systems (www.audiologicprosound.com), the installation
included the purchase of six new PL-8 Pro Series II 20 amp power
conditioners and the reinstallation of an HDS-16 headphone/audio
distribution system and eight accompanying HRM-16 headphone/audio remote
mixers for a new Yamaha PM1D monitor desk. MORE
New Zealand Founders Theatre Sings With Meyer
Founders Theatre is home to a broad array of performances and gatherings
for the roughly 160,000 residents of Hamilton and their neighbors in the
surrounding Waikato region of New Zealand. Recently, the theater's
management upgraded the 20-year-old sound system to a contemporary
design that would, as technical officer Kelvin Ballard describes,
"deliver consistent level and quality to every seat in the house, with
both a high level of musicality and uncompromised clarity of vocal
