Digital Audio Routing Takes Centerstage at Winter Olympics
EtherSound was the primary audio distribution and control network for
both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of this year's Winter Olympic
Games in Torino, Italy. Gary Hardesty, director of sound media fusion,
designed the complex audio system, which serves multiple live audience
areas and broadcast production feeds simultaneously. MORE
Martin Audio Rolls on Cayman Beachs
A collaboration between the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and BET
Jazz, the Cayman Jazzfest (early December 2005) attracted the likes of

Serpro Producciones of Monterrey, Mexico, has been putting its

Cowan Takes
Neumann, Sennheiser, TRUE on the Road
Recording engineer George Cowan was recently out with
up-and-coming singer/songwriter Eric Hutchinson, recording the artists
on a series of dates for an upcoming CD. The engineer took along a
compact, portable recording setup that included Neumann and Sennheiser
microphones and TRUE Systems microphone preamplifiers to record vocals,
piano and acoustic guitar. MORE
Aerosmith, Nickelback Tour With L-Acoustics
Production Resource Group's Las Vegas operation picked up 30 KUDO line
source array loudspeakers and 36 LA48a amplifiers from L-Acoustics.
Roger Gibbons, PRG Las Vegas' general manager of touring, reports that
the products were added for Aerosmith and Nickelback's 2006 North
American tours, both of which kicked off in mid-January. MORE

The new dbx DriveRack 4800 System Processor made its debut on January
20, 2006, when multi-Platinum-selling artist Toby Keith kicked off his

Meyer, Oceania Audio Accompany Pavarotti on Farewell Tour
Celebrated Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti concluded his performing
career with a farewell tour, which made its final stop on November 12,
2005, with a sold-out concert before 15,000 fans at Auckland's North
Harbour Stadium. Performing with Pavarotti was Italian tenor Simona
Todora, accompanied by the 66-piece Auckland Philharmonia, conducted by

Dale Morris Leasing Brings Out E-V for Wilson Dates
Country music artist Gretchen Wilson kicked off 2006 with her first
headlining arena tour of the U.S. The Redneck Revolution Tour will see
Wilson and her crew spending much of 2006 on the road, relying on
