Sound Celebrates 70 Years

technique that combined Out Board's TiMax Audio Imaging delay matrix
with a new automated tracking system developed by Norwegian
technologists Track the Actors (TTA). Autograph Sound provided the

KUDO Rocks
in Orlando
Hard Rock Live Orlando has upgraded its concert loudspeaker complement
with a brand-new L-Acoustics KUDO line source array system. After
hearing KUDO demonstrated at ETS-LDI last November, Hard Rock Live
Orlando technical director Brad Meszaros and front-of-house engineer
Brian Robertson were convinced that it was the right system for their

Fairview Church brings in Danley Sound
Fairview Baptist Church recently held a dedication service for a new
facility that was the result of a growing congregation. The church's new
fan-shaped sanctuary seats between 1,000 to 1,500 people, and features a
"blended" worship style comprising traditional and contemporary

EAW for TAO
At 42,000 square feet, TAO Las Vegas continues the trend of large
restaurant and entertainment venues situated within the city's glitzy
hotels. Tao Las Vegas co-owner Rich Wolf called on veteran designer and
fellow club owner John Lyons, president of design/build company John
Lyons Systems and owner of the Avalon clubs in Boston and New York, as
well as the Avalon and Spider Club in Los Angeles, to design and install
the EAW sound system. MORE
Meyer Shines in Shrine
Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium recently underwent a $15 million
renovation, which added state-of-the-art audio and production systems.
However, the shape of the Shrine is atypical, making the sound system
requirements unusual, according to Shrine general manager Duke
Collister. In the end, the Shrine determined that Meyer Sound's more
compact M Series models, MICA™ and M1D, were the perfect fit for

XTA Goes BAM
The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) has upgraded its sound with the
addition of a new P.A. system, which includes XTA DP Series processors.
The new system was installed in 30 days, with the finishing touches put
in place on January 12, 2006, ready for this season's performances. The
acoustic and technology upgrades were designed and specified by
Akustiks, LLC. Equipment was supplied by See Factor. MORE
