Neutrik's new XX and PX
Series products take quality thinking and design even further. The XX
Series offers a compact, uniquely styled diecast shell with internal
threads, solder barrier, and cage style contacts. Improved chuck type

The 119th AES Convention hits New York City from October

SSL C300 DIGITAL CONSOLE SSL's (booth #801) new-generation
digital console is designed for the full spectrum of film and post
applications. The C300 is a compact, assignable console for fast and
efficient sweetening and mix creation. MORE
DOREMI LABS NUGGETPRO At AES booth #918, Doremi Labs will
introduce the NuggetPro stand-alone SD and HD video player for audio
post. The NuggetPro provides sync with the audio workstation timeline

iLive digital mixing console system, whose "ground-up" design features a
flexible architecture with large-scale audio distribution and control.

(booth #861, demo room #3D01) is introducing the low-profile ATC SMC
110A professional monitor, a new compact, active three-way reference
monitor, which comprises twin 9-inch ATC SL bass drivers, an ATC 3-inch

SOUNDFIELD ST350 Soundfield's (booth #848) new portable ST350
($5,900) microphone system comprises a lightweight multi-capsule mic and
compact mic pre/control unit that generates surround and stereo

($3,250) is a cardioid-only, lower-cost version of the ELUX 251. The
E251C uses the same capsule as the ELUX 251, but costs significantly

as a lower-cost body assembly, no pattern selector switch and is

The Electro-Harmonix 12AY7 is a dual tube
dependent microphone preamp utilizing a 220-volt to the plate supply.
Phase reverse, Phantom power, filter switch, with a buffered true

TECHNICAL TOURS
9 a.m. to noon-Sirius Satellite Radio The midtown studio has
approximately 7 terabytes of storage and maintains large collections of
CDs to augment its digital libraries, which also retransmits programming
that originates elsewhere, including news, sports and comedy channels.
9 a.m. to noon-Chung King Studios Known as the "Abbey Road of
Rap," this Tribeca fixture has recorded hits for hundreds of artists,
including the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J and Missy Elliot since opening in
1979.
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.-Masque Sound For nearly 70 years, this sound
reinforcement company has provided live sound for such Broadway shows as
Les Miserables, Gypsy, Avenue Q, The
Producers, Doubt and The Lion King, as well as for
artists Jesse McCartney, Hilary Duff and the upcoming Michael Crawford.

founder and chairman of Dolby Laboratories Inc., holds more than 50 U.S.
patents and has written papers on video tape recording, long-wavelength
X-Ray analysis and noise reduction. Dolby is a fellow and past president
of the Audio Engineering Society and a recipient of its Silver and Gold
Medal Awards. He has received numerous other awards. Barry Fox and Paul
Gallow will talk to him about his life, view and interests.
This year, the AES is increasing its focus on sound reinforcement
professionals with a slew of events geared for live sound mixers: 10
a.m. to 11:30 a.m.-Platinum Road Warriors: Live Sound Touring
professionals will cover the latest trends, techniques and tools that
shape modern sound reinforcement.
