Audiotronics' ResoPre-273 is now shipping and available
through AXI. The new 2-channel, remote-controlled ResoPre-273 microphone
preamp is built using a vintage 1073 analog circuit design, and is
intended for use with all major DAW systems or in a live sound
environment. The pre can be controlled directly from the front panel,
remotely from Pro Tools or from a MIDI source such as a control surface

Behringer has added the UltraBass BX4410 and UltraBass 4410A to its

D&M Professional's latest Compact Flash recorder is the rackmount,
single-rackspace PMD560. Uncompressed .WAV files can be recorded at 44.1
or 48 kHz, and high-quality MP3 files can be recorded in mono (at 64
kbps) or in stereo (at 128 kbps). Using a standard 1GB Compact Flash
card, the PMD560 can record more than one-and-a-half hours of stereo and
more than three hours of mono uncompressed audio, more than 17 hours of

Lexicon Pro has launched the MX400 ($499.95) and MX400XL ($549.95)
dual-stereo/surround reverb processors. These new single-rackspace,

VST/AudioUnits interface for use with software recording platforms. The

Along with its built-in robotics and full-color direct-to-disc inkjet
printing, the new Bravo XR-Blu incorporates Pioneer Electronics' new
BDR-101A Blu-ray disc/DVD recorder. The initial release of the Bravo
XR-Blu uses single-layer discs to store up to 25 gigabytes of data. An
upgrade will be available shortly after launch that will allow

engineers attended, including John Nowland, Bennie Faccone, John Hanon,

North American musical instrument and sound reinforcement retailers
honored Hartley Peavey with four 2006 Music & Sound Awards, including

Hyman
Remixes at Barber Shop
Engineer/producer Dave Hyman booked the Barber Shop
Studios (Lake Hopatcong, N.J.) to provide a remix and additional
production for dancehall artist Elephant Man's hit, "The Way We Roll,"
featuring Busta Rhymes and Shaggy. The remix was co-produced by Hyman
and Cipha Sounds with A&R man Willie Daniels. MORE
'Curious George' Completed at L.A. Studios
L.A. Studios, has completed work on the newly released Curious
George film from Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment. L.A.
Studios' audio mixer George Thompson worked closely with director
Matthew O'Callaghan and executive producer Ken Tsumura on all aspects of
dialog recording on the film. Production work was handled via L.A.
Studios' Sony DMX-R100 digital console and used its Pro Tools setup for
all recordings. MORE
Metric Halo Visits 'Rome'
The HBO/BBC co-production, Rome, will shortly be going into
production on its second season, which is scheduled to begin airing in
2007. Having proved the advantages of his Metric Halo Mobile I/O-based
hard disk recording system during the debut season's yearlong filming,
Italian production mixer Maurizio Argentieri will once again be using
the setup to capture location sound for the show's second season. MORE
England Tracks at The Village
Singer/songwriter Kyler England was at The Village Recording Studios
(West Los Angeles, www.villagestudios.com) laying down tracks for a new
EP release with producer/engineer Richard Furch, who was assisted by Jim
Monti. England recorded with guitarist Ben Butler, bassist Eric Holden
and drummer Bryan Keeling.
Nettleingham Audio Update
Nettleingham Audio (Vancouver, Wash.) engineer Kevin Nettleingham
mastered releases for PDX area artists, including Vineyard Christian
Fellowship, PDXV, Charles Patton and Hope Fyfield's Yoga for Beginners.

'King Kong' Game Relies on Nuendo
The Nuendo Media Production System formed the backbone of the entire
audio production for the King Kong computer game. Released at the
end of 2005 to coincide with the worldwide release of Universal's movie,
King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie was produced by
software producer Ubisoft in close cooperation with the film's director,
