Meyer Sound Theatre Named for Don Pearson
Meyer Sound's on-site, state-of-the-art, 57-plus-seat theater has been
named "The Pearson Theatre" in memory of the late Don Pearson, sound
reinforcement pioneer and co-founder of touring sound company Ultra
Sound. Pearson, who passed away on January 9, 2006, spent the last year
and a half of his life at Meyer Sound as a staff technical seminar
instructor after being a major Meyer Sound customer and collaborator
with John and Helen Meyer since the company's founding in 1979. MORE
Berlin's TSE AG Invests In E-V, Midas
Berlin sound reinforcement and events company TSE AG has just added an
Electro-Voice XLD system to its inventory. For years now, the company
has been using an Electro-Voice X-Line system for large venues; the XLD

Miked With A-T
Erick "Otto" Celeiro, front-of-house mixer for singer/songwriter Gavin
DeGraw, is miking the vocalist with an Audio-Technica AEW-T5400. "This
vocal mic sounds better than any wired vocal mic I have ever used," says
Celeiro. "Simply crystal-clear and full of energy. The sound always
starts with a brilliant microphone, and the AEW-T5400 is definitely

Meyer Amplifies Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin recently stopped at the Arena Monterrey in Mexico's Nuevo
Leon region, a 17,500-seat arena that plays host to more than 150
sporting and cultural events annually. The venue is known for

A cappella vocal group The Blenders are carrying in their racks two XTA
DP324 SiDD dynamic processors. "The SiDDs are just fantastic," says Dave
Farber (pictured), owner of Farber Sound, the Minneapolis-area touring
sound and installation contractor that provides the sound system for

Sennheiser/Neumann Combo Debuts on Imbruglia Tour
The latest incarnation of the Neumann KK capsule for use with
Sennheiser's SKM 5000-N has made its debut on Natalie Imbruglia's
Counting Down the Days tour. For mid-October rehearsals, the SKM 5000-N
and KK 104 combination was made available to Mark Ballard, Imbruglia's
front-of-house engineer and a long-term Sennheiser UK associate. MORE

Winner of the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Classical Crossover Album, the
Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ) group is out on tour with Neumann KM
