Mid-America Increases Crown Inventory
Mid-America Sound Corp. (Indianapolis) added to its Crown I-Tech Series
inventory to a total of 64 with the purchase of 18 I-T6000 amplifiers.
The I-T6000 amplifiers are being used to power the company's mains,
which include JBL VerTec VT4880, VT4887 and VT4889 line array systems;
26 I-T4000s are currently devoted to providing power to monitor wedges.

Veteran Sound System Designer Joins Meyer Sound
Alexander "Thorny" Yuill-Thornton II has returned to Meyer Sound to join
in the company's effort to develop digital products. Thorny, known for
his work with Luciano Pavarotti and the Three Tenors, played an integral
role in product development during his first stint at Meyer Sound from
1980 to '86 when he was responsible for mechanical engineering on such
products as the UPA-1, MSL-3, MSL-10 and UPM-1 and -2. MORE

A-Line Acoustics shipped 16 AL-10D line array enclosures to Productions
and Concerts Inc. (Stockbridge, Ga.). The system includes A-Line's
deluxe connector plates with two NL8 and three NL4 jacks to provide

Desk Takes the Stage at Sycuan
El Cajon, Calif.'s Sycuan Showcase Theatre, owned and operated by the
Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, has hosted such musical acts as
Cheap Trick, B.B. King, Michael McDonald, Smokey Robinson and many
others despite the room's rather intimate 500-seat capacity. After
renting monitor systems for larger shows during the past few years, the
Sycuan Resort and Casino venue made the decision to invest in its own
rig and asked San Diego's J&E Pro Audio Supply to submit a proposal for
a new stage reinforcement setup. MORE

The Keyclub Hollywood, which has hosted the likes of Aerosmith, Marilyn
Manson and Black Eyed Peas, has just opened up its sister venue at the

Mezzanine Grows With EAW
After three years of dedicated effort to establish itself as a premier
venue for DJ talent from around the world, San Francisco--based
Mezzanine wanted to start competing for top-name live acts. To do this,
the club hired production manager Josh Roberts (Ben Harper, Beth Orton,
King Crimson, Meat Beat Manifesto, among others). One of his first to-do
items, Roberts brought in an entirely different sound system. MORE
