Joint Venture Focuses on Adhesives
Cartridge-Filling

Adhesive Packaging Specialties, Inc. (APS) of Peabody, Mass. and
Cartridge Application Technologies, (CAT) of Mentor, Oh., a newly formed
division of V.O. Baker Company, have signed a three-year agreement. The
venture between the two companies was formed as a result of industry
demand for the Dual Cartridge System. This system is used in the

with abrasive grains and then pressed and bonded into flexible discs;
constantly exposing new abrasives as they work. Capable of lasting up to

self-teach Bench Top Dispenser with a bright LCD and 10 memory locations
to automatically cycle 10 self-taught programs. Auto-cycling is one of
three operation modes available. The other two are: Manual-Mode,
enabling a dispense operation controlled by a foot-pedal and Timed-Mode
that will dispense a pre-set time. Touch sensitive controls program the
SL101 with dispense periods from 0.01 -- 9999 seconds. Systems are
available in 110V and 220V versions. Air Input is 70 -- 100 psi (5 -7
bar). Dispense output air pressure can be programmed from 1 -- 100 psi.
An adjustable suck-back feature prevents post-dispense dripping of low

***Shock Resistant Adhesive Has High Peel &
Sheer Strength***
|
HACKENSACK, NJ: Master Bond has introduced EP21TDC, a two component
epoxy adhesive for general purpose bonding and sealing. It readily
develops high shear strength of more than 2970 psi (217 Kg/cm²) at
room temperature and unlike many other epoxy adhesives, is relatively
insensitive to mixing ratio or substrate cleaning procedures. The
EP21TDC epoxy resin system furthermore features a very high T-peel
strength of 32 pli after room temperature cure. It produces durable high
strength and tough bonds which are remarkably resistant to thermal
cycling and chemicals including water, oil and most organic solvents,
over a temperature range of -75°C to more than 120°C. Adhesion
to metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics
is excellent. The hardened adhesive is an electrical insulator with a
volume receptivity of 1014 ohm-cm and a dielectric constant of 3.8.
