Latest Advanced Materials Prove
Durability
Developed as a prototype for the 2008 Le Mans series, the new
Courage - ORECALC70 racing car from ORECA draws on state-of-the-art
high-performance composites, adhesives, and stereolithography materials
to measure up to the world's toughest endurance motor race. Araldite2014
two-component epoxy adhesive and Araldite204 one-component foaming
adhesive were used to bond together the bodywork composite parts and
fill small gaps between components. ORECA chose Araldite 2000 range
adhesives, which offer high heat and chemical resistance, to bond
component substrates that included composites, thermoplastics, and
metals. ORECA engineers and Araldite technicians used the latest
stereolithography materials, composite resin systems, and high
performance adhesives to create very tough and complex finished parts
for the vehicle, while also speeding up the manufacturing process by
some 20 percent. The Courage - ORECALC70 prototype cars have since
measured up in real-life tests, winning a first-ever podium place for
the car at Belgium's Spa circuit and coming in an impressive 8th in the
June 2008 Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance race.

Flexible Epoxy with Pinpoint Accuracy
BROOKLYN, NY: Duralco 125 "Stress Free" epoxy forms a flexible,
electrically conductive bond for continuous use to 400°F. Ideal for
manufacturing and repairing of flexible circuits, solder replacement,
bonding semi-conductors, EMI shielding, thermistors, wire tacking,

400°F service and provides outstanding electrical conductivity, high
bond strength; thermal and mechanical shock resistance, adhesion to
dissimilar substrates and excellent chemical resistance. The hand-held

cures at room temperature (16-24 hrs. @ 75°F; 20 min. @ 200°F)

New DYNAGLIDE® Swatchbook
