Adept Technology Announces Receipt of
$3.2M Order From Major OEM of Test Automation
Equipment
Adept Technology, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent
vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced it
has received a $3.2 million order for high-precision robots from a major
international manufacturer of test automation equipment. The order is
expected to be fulfilled and recognized as revenue this third fiscal
quarter of 2010. The company selected Adept as its automation partner to
provide high-speed robot systems for complex, precision handling
operations.

Manufacturing to Grow 5.7% in
2010
Economic growth in the United States will resume in 2010, according
to the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in their December 2009
Semiannual Economic Forecast. Manufacturing revenues will grow 5.7
percent in 2010 compared to a 10.7 percent decrease in 2009.
Expectations for 2010 are for the positive conditions experienced in the
second half of 2009 to continue in manufacturing, while the
non-manufacturing sector foresees marginal growth. The overall forecast
projects optimism about the U.S. economy for 2010. The manufacturing
sector overall is positive about prospects in 2010 with revenues
expected to increase in 13 of 18 industries, while the non-manufacturing
sector appears slightly less positive about the year ahead with 8 of 18
industries expecting higher revenues. Business investment, a major
driver in the U.S. economy, will decline as both sectors expect a
combined average of a 5.4 percent decline in capital spending.

Oil-Pulse Torque Screwdrivers
AMHERST, NH: Express Assembly Products recently added oil pulse
torque screwdrivers to the company's light torque assembly tool lines.
The oil pulse technology minimizes torque reaction transfer, resulting
in reduced operator fatigue and increased productivity. Express Assembly
carries shut-off oil pulse torque screwdrivers and a very affordably
priced line of non shut-off tools. Both tool lines offer high torque
ranges with an accuracy rate of +/- 5%. High RPM rundown reduces total
fastening time, while an exhaust silencer maintains operator comfort.The
shut-off oil pulse tools include an auto shut-off clutch. Once the
torque setting is reached, the tool shuts down. The operator simply
applies light pressure on the screwdrivers lever to re-start. The
shut-off series oil pulse torque screwdrivers are available in
ergonomically designed pistol grips. The non shut-off oil pulse tools
are an economical alternative when exact torque is not a requirement.
The bit on the screwdrivers stops turning once the torque value of the
tool is reached, although the tool will continue to pulse with a slight

Thread Sealant for High Pressure Gaseous and
Fluid Power Systems
ROCKY HILL, CT: Henkel Corporation has introduced a new thread
sealant, Loctite(R) 5452(TM), specifically formulated for use on metal
fittings found in high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic power systems.
Curing four times faster than traditional anaerobic sealants even on
stainless steel or inert metals, Loctite(R) 5452(TM) allows fittings
under low pressure to be returned to service immediately. Designed to
fill, seal and secure the air space between threads, this sealant
contains no fillers or particles that could contaminate system fluids,
foul valves or clog fine filters/screens. This thixotropic purple gel
works well on any size NPT, O-ring boss (ORB) or JIC fitting, and
prevents rotation that ultimately leads to leakage on dry seal fittings.
