EFFICIENT COOLING with COMPACT CABINET COOLERS
Noren Products Cabinet Coolers (CCC) reduce downtime while
removing the heat from sealed electrical panels and enclosures using
heat pipe technology. The CCC's prevent contaminant from getting
into enclosures. They reduce failures and downtime, consume less energy
than A/C, are easy to install, and maintenance free. Noren offers a
variety of models; below ambient, NEMA 12, 3R, 4, 4X, Stainless Steel,
UL,cUL, RoHS compliant.

Energy Institute Calls for
Comprehensive, Bipartisan Solution
|
The U.S. Chamber Institute for 21st Century Energy today called on
both parties in Congress and the Executive Branch to come together to
develop a bipartisan plan to address our growing energy challenges. "The
proposals issued by both parties and all presidential candidates
recognize the impact that high energy prices are having on the economy
and on consumers. But they are insufficient to address the serious
energy challenges facing our country," said General James L. Jones
(Ret.), President and CEO of the Institute. "We need bipartisan
agreement on comprehensive, common-sense solutions that address the long
term needs of the country. To date, none of the proposals are broad or
bold enough in scope to meet this growing and urgent challenge. The
time to get serious on behalf of the American public is now."

Growth Projected for External
AC-DC
|
Despite a global economic slowdown, the outlook for the worldwide
external ac-dc power supply market is expected to remain strong. The
worldwide external power supply (EPS) market is projected to grow from
$6.7 billion in 2008 to almost $10.0 billion in 2013, a compounded
annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.2%. The worldwide EPS unit market is
expected to grow at a somewhat faster pace, with a CAGR of 11.1% between
2008 and 2013. Although this market is mature, and a number of segments
have slowed, the industry as a whole is still strong and expanding.
Surging demand from emerging application segments is resulting in a
changing product mix.

Modest Rebound for the Lighting
Systems Index in First Quarter of 2008
|
NEMA's Lighting Systems Index increased 1.1 percent during the first
quarter of 2008. Still, the U.S. lighting market remained in a broader
slump for the second straight quarter, and the index was down more than
5 percent from its year-ago level. Of the index's underlying market
segments, the value of shipments was down on a seasonal- and
inflation-adjusted basis for ballasts, fixtures and large lamps, while
emergency lighting equipment and miniature lamps registered gains from
the prior quarter and versus the first quarter of 2007.

***Din Rail Mounting Fully Isolated
Amplifier***
|
POTTSTOWN, PA: The new DR7DC strain gage amplifier was developed for
simple integration into industrial systems. Fully isolated, the DR7DC is
designed to avoid potential ground loop noise problems and is fully EMC
compliant. Operating from a supply voltage of 9V to 36V dc, it can
easily be configured for outputs of 0 to 10V, + 10V, or 4-20 mA from
input signals ranging from 4mV to 10V, providing an ideal solution when
integrating industrial load cells and pressure sensors into a control
system. The new DR7DC offers shunt calibration with remote operation.
Transducer excitation is adjustable from 3 to 10V dc. Non-linearity of
0.02% F.S. is typical and operating temperatures range from -10°C to
+60°C. The DR7DC provides an output bandwidth up to 5kHz. ---RDP

***Intelligent Camera***
|
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN: New IMPACT™ A20 Intelligent Camera, along
with the bundled IMPACT Software Suite, delivers high-end machine vision
power and flexibility in a vision sensor profile. The IMPACT A20 is
industrially rugged yet compact, offering high-performance on-board
image processing, a digital imaging sensor, real-time I/O and 256 MB of
on-board memory. Included in the IMPACT Software Suite, the IMPACT
Vision Program Manager (VPM) now has more than 120 tools, including OCR,
blob analysis, circle gauge, circular pattern find, line find, sub-pixel
gauging and many other advanced vision tools that allow users to create
vision programs to suit a broad range of applications. A pre-configured
operator panel is built within VPM so inspection data and pass/fail
results can be displayed at the touch of a button, right within the same
software application. ---PPT Vision, Inc.
