Introducing the New HH Series Heavy-Duty Industrial Hydraulics
(3000 psi) from TRD
TRD Manufacturing, a Bimba Company, announced the introduction of their
new HH
Series Cylinders, which feature an innovative design to deliver more
reliability in heavy-duty industrial hydraulic operations.
The HH
series offers a complete line of hydraulic Rod Locks. Cutting-edge
floating rod bushing technology ensures that these rod locks achieve
their high rated holding force and stay correctly aligned. This reduces
cylinder drag, wear and erratic operation, thereby ultimately improving
performance, consistency and results.

NFPA Launches Technology Roadmap
Initiative for Fluid Power Industry
The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) has helped create
several mechanisms for shaping the technological advancement of the
fluid power industry, not the least of which is the Engineering Research
Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power. To better align these
mechanisms around potential breakthrough technologies of the future,
NFPA is embarking on a new initiative to:
1. Identify industry-elevating technology advancements in hydraulics and
pneumatics that will: Meet the future needs of fluid power customers;
Expand fluid power into new customer markets; and Attract the best and
brightest young engineers to fluid power.
2. Determine an action
plan of research investments, capability developments, and skills
acquisitions needed to achieve those advancements. When completed, this
"technology roadmap" will be used to guide the research agendas of the
Engineering Research Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power and
the NFPA Education and Technology Foundation. In addition to
accelerating innovation in our industry, NFPA hopes to deepen fluid
power's attraction as an energy-saving and environmentally-friendly
technology of choice for young engineers.

Metric Flareless Tube Fittings
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN: Eaton Corporation announces the expanded North
American availability of Eaton Walterscheid WALPro fittings that feature
a unique two-edge cutting ring technology with a combination of high
axial strength and radial flexibility that provides a full 360 deg tube
seal while eliminating deformation due to over tightening. The WALPro
System is designed for use in hydraulic systems on industrial equipment,
mobile equipment and more. WALPro products are available via the Eaton
distribution network for global customers. "The WALPro fittings utilize
an advanced profile ring designed for both performance and safe
assembly," said Gary Lisenbee, Eaton product manager. "During assembly,
the two cutting edges of the profile ring penetrate the tube, creating a
safe and reliable seal while the top area of the profile ring seals
along the 24 degree surface of the fittings body. The profile ring's
geometry also provides the necessary axial strength to minimize
over-torquing, a common error during tube fitting assembly." ---
