New! Raised Panel Labels Provide Cost Saving Alternatives – Free Sample Available
As the first raised panel label on the market to withstand 10 years in outdoor conditions, the Brady's B-593 Raised Panel Label gives customers a new and economical option for outdoor identification.

Providing a thicker, more aggressive adhesive with added durability of a foam-backed polyester, B-593 Raised Panel Labels are a cost-effective alternative to engraved legend plates, as they can be used to identify industrial control panels, patch panels and other indoor components, as well as outdoor electrical boxes, instrument panels and more.

Many of the Brady's desktop thermal transfer printers can print on B-593 Raised Panel Labels, which means you can create your instrument panel labels in real time with technology that you already have in your facility – a much more practical and customizable option than traditional legend plates.

Brady's Raised Panel Labels are available in white, black, red, yellow, green, and silver and come in a variety of sizes. Request Free Sample Now --- Brady Corp.

INDUSTRY TRENDS
Robot Plays Guitar Hero Game
Banner Engineering Corp. partnered with a Minnesota West Community and Technical College engineering student and robotics instructor to develop a robot designed to play the Guitar Hero® video game—responding to each note as it appears onscreen. Pete Nikrin, who graduated from Minnesota West in 2008 and now works as a manufacturing engineer at Meier Tool & Engineering, designed the robot to compete with a friend that Nikrin had introduced to the game and, after playing for two weeks, had surpassed Nikrin in his ability. To develop his Guitar Hero robot, Nikrin used a mannequin—complete with Minnesota West sweatshirt, hat and painted fingernails—and installed the camera lens as the robot's left eye, which would be positioned toward the TV or computer screen. The robot, named Roxanne, identified the notes to be played by using an Edge vision tool, which detects, counts and locates the transition between bright and dark pixels in an image area.
