Found: The Oldest Working Mitsubishi
Forklift Truck in America
Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has announced the winners of its "Keeps
on Running" contest, a competition that invited customers to show how
their Mitsubishi forklift truck has withstood the test of time. The
winning forklift is a 1982 FGC25 Mitsubishi forklift truck used by
Prescher Willette Seeds, a soybean farming company in Delavan, Minn.
The family run business was founded in 1933 and raises, cleans, packs
and ships more than 100,000 bags of soybeans on their 3,500 acre farm
each year. As the winner of the contest, the company received a brand
new FGC25N Mitsubishi forklift truck.

RFID NEEDS TO DELIVER QUICK RETURN ON
INVESTMENT
|
More than half of those deploying radio frequency identification
(RFID) technology expect payback in 18 months or less, according to the
Annual RFID End User Survey, conducted by ABI Research of New York, N.Y.
In fact, 36.7 percent of those surveyed expect to achieve return on
investment (ROI) even faster, in less than 12 months. The rapid ROI
numbers bode well for firms considering RFID deployments. Up until now,
with few, if any, early adopters willing to share information, lack of
adequate ROI data ranks third on the list of reasons for non-deployment
of RFID systems.

Rite-Vu™ Light Communication
System
MILWAUKEE, WI: In another industry first, Rite-Hite Corporation
introduces the Rite-Vu™ Light Communication System: the only
system that detects when a forklift is inside of a trailer and alerts
loading dock personnel to stay clear of dock openings while any trailer
is in service, improving safety and productivity. The system is designed
to help prevent forklift-pedestrian collisions, a leading cause of
forklift-related fatalities. Rite-Vu uses highly visible lights to
clearly tell forklift drivers and pedestrians when a forklift is inside
a trailer so that they can exercise proper caution against that forklift
