3-Axis, Distortion-Free Laser Marking on Irregular
Surfaces
The new KEYENCE MD-V9900 YVO4 Laser provides distortion-free marking at
production line speeds on stepped and inclined surfaces, cylinders and
spheres. Objects that cause problems for conventional markers are easily
handled by the world's first laser marker to incorporate simultaneous
3-axis X, Y and Z beam control, a 42mm variable focal length, variable
size beam spot and a huge 300 x 300mm marking area. No indexing

NORWALK, CT: Airpel-AB Air Bearing Aator combines air cylinder like
linear actuation with zero friction air bearing technology. The Airpel
-AB provides "force without friction" which is made possible by a
specially shaped stainless steel piston that is precisely fitted to a
borosilicate glass cylinder. The introduction of pressurized air into
the air bearing's cylinder creates a true air bearing airflow effect
around the piston. With as little as 5 PSI of air applied to the
cylinder, the same air that drives the piston also produces a stiff
cushion of air to support the piston and prevent it from contacting the
cylinder wall. The result is an air cylinder that delivers virtually
unlimited piston life, no lubrication and clean operation. In addition,
the output force of this friction-free air cylinder is reduced only
infinitesimally by movement of ultra-low friction ball joints used to

Motor Stage. The compact (63.5 mm tall x 88.9 mm wide x 266.7 mm long;
2.5 in. x 3.5 in. x 10.5 in.) MAB-100 utilizes a unique air bearing
guideway to deliver precise, 100% friction-free straight-line motion up
to 100 mm in length. Its non-contact design delivers improved
performance as well as reduced overall cost of ownership, maintenance
requirements and machine down time when compared with linear motor
stages with contact components. The MAB-100 has no recirculating
bearings or anti-creep mechanisms. As a result, motion artifacts such
as friction, heat and debris that can negatively impact linear motor
