Natural Gas Operated Pumps are CSA* (Canadian
Standards Association) certified for operation using sweet or sour
natural gas. The pumps are also compliant with NACE Standard
MR0175/ISO15156. The sweet gas pump utilizes Aluminum or 316 Stainless
Steel wetted construction with Buna or Virgin PTFE diaphragms and check
balls. The gas valve is constructed of Aluminum with Buna or FKM
(fluorocarbon) elastomers. Pumps are fully groundable, preventing static

Funding Will Enable Manufacturers to Use
Recycled Materials in Their Processes

Let's hear it for greater use of recycled products in all
manufacturing production processes. Gov. Edward G. Rendell has
announced three grants that will help in-state manufacturers increase
their use of recycled materials, and reduce their energy costs at the
same time. The Recycling Markets Infrastructure Development grants total

***Heating Tapes with Built-In Adjustable
Thermostat***
|
STAMFORD, CT: The HTWAT series of silicone rubber heating tapes
feature an adjustable thermostat control up to 218°C (425°F) and are
designed for process temperature control, freeze protection, and
supplemental heat. The HTWAT heating tapes are moisture and chemical
resistant, suitable for electrically conductive surfaces, and heat up at
a very quick rate. Recommended applications include valves, pipe lines,
bearings, filter housings, actuators, and more. The HTWAT is ideally
suited for manufacturing, construction, petroleum, and public works

***Rotary Union Line***
|
THREE RIVERS, MI: Kadant Johnson Inc., has expanded its existing
line of rotary unions with the introduction of the Over-The-Shaft (OTS)
rotary union for water-cooling. The OTS union is custom-designed for
machinery that requires cooling on the drive side of driven rolls and
for rolls that cannot accept an axially-mounted rotary union. This
rotary union is available with a tungsten-carbide mechanical seal or a
Quad-Seal o-ring design. The mechanical seal version of the OTS union is
intended for high speed applications up to 750 RPM. The precision ball
bearings are widely spaced while the springs are located external to the
flow area. The soft seal version of the OTS union, designed for slower
speed applications, uses a Quad-Seal o-ring and thrust washer. Both
versions are constructed with stainless steel and bronze components. In
addition to water cooling applications, the OTS union can be applied to
hydraulic oil and air applications. It is rated up to 220 degrees F, 150

***Static Injection Mixer Blends Ethanol &
Additives Into Gasoline***
|
BRISTOL, RI: Compact all stainless steel static injection mixer is
designed for blending ethanol and other additives into gasoline and
other fuels. The Static Mixer is a heavy-wall 316 stainless steel fixed
plate which features an orifice pattern that mixes by a combination of
alternate vortex shedding and intense shear zone turbulence to achieve
>98% dispersion within 10 diameters downstream. Designed to fit inside
the mating flange bolt circle of any piping system, it is smaller than
conventional multi-element static mixers which are much heavier and more
expensive to ship. Available in sizes from 1/2" up to 30" dia., the
Westfall Static Mixer is supplied standard with Flexitallic stainless
steel high-pressure gaskets. Providing predictable mixing and
maintenance free operation, this mixer has no moving parts and can be
