Epoxy Adhesive Meets 450°F Challenge
Engineers have steadily pushed the performance requirements for
adhesives to even higher service temperatures. To meet this challenge,
Master Bond has successfully formulated a high-temperature resistant,
two-part epoxy adhesive system called EP45HT. This product has been
extensively tested and is capable of withstanding long-term exposures at
temperatures as high as 400-450°F. Furthermore, it can successfully
withstand shorter exposures up to 500-550°F. It also offers a very
high glass transition temperature and excellent long-term strength
retention at 450°F.

New Flame Resistant Epoxy System
Master Bond EP21FRNS is a two-component epoxy adhesive/sealant and
casting compound which meets UL94V-0 flame-retardant specifications. It
has a convenient one-to-one mix ratio, cures at room temperatures and is
100% reactive. EP21FRNS is tough, durable and has excellent adhesion to
metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers, and most plastics. It has
superior electrical insulation properties as well as resistance to
thermal shock. Particularly noteworthy is its minimal smoke generation.

Deterioration in North American business conditions slowed in the
most recent month, according to NEMA's Electroindustry Business
Confidence Index (EBCI). Although it again failed to reach 50, and
