placebo-controlled trial of 247 patients who had NASH but not diabetes,
pioglitazone improved key histological features and liver enzymes;
however, vitamin E was more successful for the treatment of NASH in
these patients.

Intake of Folic Acid Supplements in
Late Pregnancy Could Cause Asthma in Kids
According to an article
on DNAIndia.com, folic acid supplements taken by mothers in late
pregnancy could lead to allergic asthma in their children at the age of
3 to 5 years, according to a study. The study by University of
Adelaide's Robinson Institute suggests that the timing of
supplementation in pregnancy is important. The findings of the study
have been published in the American Journal of Epidemiology.

Capital Inc.'s revenue for the second quarter of fiscal year 2010, ended
September 30, 2009, was $123.7 million, up 11.6% from the same quarter
last year, but down 10.0% from the previous quarter. Net income for the
second quarter was $6.7 million, up compared to a net loss of $5.4
million during the same quarter last year, but down 26.0% compared to
the previous quarter.
