Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) makes several recommendations to help you

according to the National Institutes of Health, eight out of 10 people
will suffer from it at some time.

A new study funded by National Institute for Occupational Safety and
Health (NIOSH) reports that foreign-born workers reported a lower rate
of non-fatal work-related injuries than U.S.-born workers, based on data
collected from the National Health Interview Survey from 1997 to 2005.

(ACOEM) called on Health and Human Services Secretary-designee Tom
Daschle to address the critical link between the health, safety and
productivity of America’s workers and the long-term stability of its
health care system and economy as he begins work on the Obama
administration’s health care agenda.

As the population of firefighters becomes more diverse, one size or
style of protective equipment may not fit all responders. Can the weight
of protective boots therefore put some firefighters at risk? Scientists
at two National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
laboratories are conducting research to understand the physiological and
biomechanical effects of boot weight on male and female firefighters.
