1. Truck Driver Demographics and the Risk of Musculoskeletal Injuries

Commercial truck drivers face the risk of injury not only from accidents on the road, but also from the physical toll of sitting in and operating the vehicle. According to a recent Atlas Ergonomics study, long hours behind the wheel put certain drivers at a higher risk of developing musculoskeletal injuries.

2. Obesity, Diabetes Interfere with Workplace Productivity

According to a new study appearing in the May/June issue of the American Journal of Health Promotion, obese workers with type 2 diabetes report less productivity on the job than their normal-weight co-workers, and diabetes itself also has an effect on work impairment.
