New Products and Services

DrMOS Module Improves Efficiency, Saves Space
From Toshiba America Electronic Components, the TB7004FL multi-chip module (MCM) contains the gate drivers and MOSFETs required to build a 35-A, 30-V synchronous buck converter.

LDO Controller Boasts Low Dropout at 7 A
Vishay Intertechnology's SiP21301 LDO controller uses an external n-channel MOSFET to limit dropout voltage to less than 50 mV at currents up to 7 A, while achieving 80% efficiency. The controller offers an adjustable output voltage, as well as fixed 1.2-V and 1.5-V output options.

Power-Supply Controller Saves Space in LCD TVs
Maxim Integrated Products' MAX17014 is a highly integrated, multiple-output power-supply controller for TFT-LCD TVs and monitors.

Hall-Effect Switch Is Battery Friendly
AllegroMicrosystems' A1171 ultra-sensitive, Hall-effect switch features operation at low supply currents and voltages, making it well suited for battery-operated electronics

Chipset Is Optimized for MR16-style LED Lamps
Zetex Semiconductors, a dedicated chipset and reference design for MR16-compatible LED lamps significantly decreases PCB size and weight in lamp necks, lowers manufacturing costs, and reduces the component count of existing solutions by up to 50%.

Industrial Supplies Promise Lifetime Warranty
Lambda has announced that new purchases of its HWS series of single-output, industrial-grade, power supplies now include a limited lifetime warranty, which the company describes as a "first" in the industry.
