Keystones Subminiature Fuse Holders

These 8.5 mm (dia.) fuse holders for quick, easy changes on dense PCB's. Unique barrier protects leads from arcing. Thru-hole mount for stable PCB positioning. Low contact tension springs add stability. Bases made of sturdy UL 94-V-O thermoplastic, plus gold plated BeCu springs & Tin-Plated Brass pins. Two (2) "sturdy mount" designs, a low profile type & a "space-saver" which permits components placement under the PCB holder.

Industry News

Text Presents Theory and Practical Designs for Switch Mode Power Supplies
Christophe Basso's second book: "Switch Mode Power Supplies: SPICE Simulations and Practical Designs" offers a theoretical study of power conversion in both the dc-dc and ac-dc fields via a systematic equation-based approach.

PSMA Reprints Classic Magnetics Text
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) has announced the availability of a reprint of the classic book "Applications Of Magnetism" written by the late J. K. Watson and originally published by John Wiley and Sons in 1980.

Supplier Achieves JANS Certification For Rectifiers and TVSs
The Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) has granted JANS certification for Semtech's Power Discretes and Assembly (PDA) Group facility located in Reynosa, Mexico.

Patent Recognizes Architecture for Driving High-Brightness LEDs
Catalyst Semiconductor has received a patent for a stepdown switching regulator circuit architecture applicable for driving high-brightness LEDs.

CFL Prototype Illuminates in Less Than a Second
In recent independent testing, a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) prototype bulb powered by PureSpectrum's ballast technology reached full illumination in 0.7 seconds.

New Products and Services

Automotive Relay Saves Space
Fujitsu Components has released what it describes as the market's smallest 40-A, high-temperature-grade automotive printed-circuit-board relay.

System Managers Feature Nonvolatile Fault Registers
Maxim Integrated Products' MAX16046-MAX16049 are 12-/8-channel, EEPROM-configurable, voltage sequencers/monitors/marginers that use nonvolatile fault registers to store system voltage and fault information upon a critical system failure.

Current Transducer Offers Current Output
Additions to the LEM's LTS family of +5-V current transducers, the LTSP current transducer measures positive and negative ac, dc and pulse currents on pc boards and provides a current output instead of the voltage output provided by the other units in the family.

Development Kit Eases Sensorless Motor Control
STMicroelectronics has announced a complete three-phase motor-control development kit (the STM3210B-MCKIT) based on its STM32 Flash microcontroller, which provides all the necessary hardware and firmware to enable users to evaluate this 32-bit solution.

Controllers Are Optimized for Montevina CPU
Intersil's ISL6266A chip is a two-phase core controller designed to improve the efficiency and performance of systems based on Intel's Montevina platform.
