Compact-track loader
The Takeuchi TL140
compact-track loader is an 81-hp machine designed for superior lifting
capacity and bucket breakout force. Rubber tracks combine the
capabilities of a track loader with the versatility of operation on
improved surfaces. A high sprocket planetary drive system provides an
efficient and durable method of speed reduction and torque amplification
and eliminates drive chains, chain cases, axles and hubs, which require
periodic maintenance and could cause failure. The track undercarriage
provides the flotation needed for working in muddy or loose ground
conditions and delivers the traction required for excavating tough
materials.

Tiller
Honda's FC600
mid-tine tiller is designed for the commercial, rental and residential
markets. Powered by Honda's four-stroke GX160 commercial-grade engine,
the tiller incorporates a one-touch transport wheel, simplified drag-bar
operation and a single-piece reinforced handlebar. The tiller also has a
multifunctional front guard and a heavy-duty fender. The FC600 has a
tilling width of 26.4 inches and weighs 130 pounds.

Backhoe loaders
The new John Deere J-Series
backhoe loaders -- the 310J, 310SJ, 410J (pictured) and 710J --
provide all-new power train components and numerous structural and
electrical enhancements. The new ZF power train components include the
transmission, front and rear axle. All models provide power-shift
transmissions for clutch-free gear shifting. Deere's Total Machine
Control option facilitates road speed and hill-climbing capability.
Multi-plate clutch engagement allows for on-the-fly mechanical
front-wheel-drive engagement coupled with limited-slip differential. The
electrical system on the J-Series features several new enhancements such
as a multi-language digital monitor that provides on-board diagnostics.

For Contractors
Vibratory plate
MBW introduces the GPR77, the
400-pound reversible vibratory plate producing 7,775 pounds of CF at
4,725 vpm. The simple shifting design lowers cost, is engineered to be
low maintenance and provides a geo-technical benefit in its ability to
shift travel direction at constant speed, which enhances the user's
probability of achieving uniform density and stiffness over the area
being compacted. The GPR77 produces an amplitude of 0.065 inches, travel
up to 85 feet per minute and handles various types of essentially
granular soils.

Trailer
The new 12,000-pound-capacity Lo Riser EX inclining platform
trailer from Advance
Metalworking features a 74-inch by 14 feet, 8-inch load carrying
platform that can be hydraulically lowered to ground height. Just a flip
of the control switch raises or lowers the trailer. A built-in ramp
allows smooth, drive-on access without any crown point to fight for
quickly loading or unloading cargo or equipment. When lowered, the
trailer allows a minimum 5-degree angle to suit low ground clearance or
reduced-gradeability vehicles.

Hydraulic hammer
Caterpillar's new H65Ds
hydraulic hammer is the company's largest hammer option for compact
equipment users. Features include an enclosed housing to protect the
power cell, eliminate side plate bolts and reduce noise levels; recoil
isolation to protect the carrier from damaging reflective forces; and
ultra high blow rate for greater productivity in concrete and asphalt
applications. The H65Ds is sized for use with all Cat skid-steer and
multi-terrain loaders as well as the following mini-hydraulic
excavators: 303.5C, 303C CR, 304C CR and 305C CR. The new hammer is
compatible with the Caterpillar pin-grabber, quick-coupler system. For
expanded versatility, the H65Ds can be equipped with a chisel, moil,
spade or compacting plate.

Self-priming pumps
Stow's self-priming
diaphragm pumps are designed to handle everything from clear water to
heavy sludges and slurries. The DP-2 (pictured) and DP-3 are engineered
for cleaning out cesspools and septic tanks, draining slow seepage from
small excavations, trenches and construction sites, and pumping
industrial waste. The DP-2 has a maximum capacity of 3,000 gph, and the
DP-3 pumps up to 5,100 gph. Driven by a 4-hp Honda GX-120 gasoline
engine, the pumps feature a heavy-duty aluminum body, lubricated spur
gear and automatic oil shutdown.

Paving breaker
The Sullair MPB-90 AFS paving
breaker is ergonomically designed with an anti-vibration handle that
reduces vibration up to 60 percent to minimize operator fatigue.
Vibration is reduced by crossed handles that swivel on pins located on
either side of the breaker head. Helical springs prevent contact between
the handles and the breaker body, allowing the springs to act as
isolators. A silent muffler reduces noise levels by 6 dBA, or 50
percent, and prevents the tool from freezing.

For Homeowners/Light Contractors
Cordless drill/drivers
The SF 181-A (pictured) and SFH 181-A cordless drill/drivers from
Hilti provide reliability and
speed designed for driving screws and drilling into masonry wood and
metal with masonry bits, spade bits, multispur bits, hole saws and
high-speed steel jobber bits. Delivering 690 inch-pounds of torque, the
SFH 181-A drills into brick, masonry and concrete with 36,000 blows per
minute. Its high-performance motor and efficient three-speed gearing
provides up to 2,000 rpm. Almost identical in design, the SF 181-A also
offers a torque of up to 690 inch-pounds and, with its adjustable side
handle, is suited for numerous applications.

Granular spreader
SpreadEx offers the LG 575 mid-size granular spreader, designed for
spreading seed, fertilizer and control products in sports turf, ground
maintenance and landscaping applications. Standard with a variable-speed
controller, the spreader's material flow gate calibrates and controls
material flow, which allows the operator to distribute the right amount
of material for each application. Spread pattern is also variable from
the cab. The LG 575 comes standard with a 2-inch receiver hitch mount.
