Mini-skid steer
The Vermeer S600TX rubber
track mini-skid steer is available with two engine options: a 25-hp
Kohler Command Pro gasoline engine or a 25-hp Kubota D905 diesel engine.
A machine width of 35.75 inches allows the S600TX to maneuver through
confined areas. The 7- or 9-inch tracks provide enhanced stability and
lower operating ground pressure. The S600TX comes with a
spring-cushioned platform that is positioned within the framework of the
machine, reducing the need to walk through worksite debris, mud and
uneven terrain. A universal attachment mounting plate combined with 14
gpm of hydraulic flow enhances versatility.

Compact utility loader
The Toro Company introduces the
Dingo TX 525 Narrow Track compact utility loader, which features a 25-hp
Kubota diesel engine for added torque and hydraulic flow in a compact
design. The TX 525 Narrow Track weighs 1,904 pounds (2,030 pounds with
bucket) and measures 92 inches in length with a bucket, making it
compact enough to work in tight places. The 5.9-inch-wide tracks on the
unit distribute the weight to 5.2 psi for flotation in soft ground
conditions. The utility loader is compatible with Toro's 35 compact
utility loader attachments making the system capable of constructing or
demolishing interior structures, installing irrigation systems,
preparing seedbeds, hauling and handling material, constructing decks
and fences, planting trees and building ponds.

Skid-steer loader
Gehl's new 7810E skid-steer
loader is powered by a Cummins 99-hp turbo-charged diesel engine and has
an increased SAE-rated load capacity of 3,850 pounds. With a 3,300-psi
hydraulic system relief pressure, the loader delivers a bucket breakout
force of 8,340 pounds. The auxiliary hydraulic system, which provides
standard 29-gpm adjustable flow and up to 41 gpm with optional
high-flow, is designed for strong hydraulic attachment performance.
Two-speed drive is available and offers ground speeds up to 12.5 mph.

For Contractors
Attachments
Recent additions to John
Deere's Worksite Pro attachments line for skid steers and compact
track loaders include two "dozer" blades, five vibratory rollers, four
cold planers, two tillers and two hydraulic breakers (also for compact
excavators). All are backed by John Deere parts, service and warranty
coverage. Although optimized to work with Deere equipment, these
attachments also function with competitive models.

Gasoline-powered breaker
General Equipment
introduces the GB90 gasoline-powered breaker as an addition to its line
of specialized light construction equipment. Features include power
stroke technology, which is designed to significantly increase
productivity by reducing noise and vibration levels to the operator, and
an operating weight of 66 pounds, producing 1,000 blows per minute. The
Komatsu Zenoah engine requires a standard 50-to-1 gasoline to oil
mixture and can utilize any 2-stroke engine oil that meets the outboard
motor TCW3 standard.

Tampers
Bomag Light Equipment
modified its BT60/4 (pictured) and BT65/4 tampers, now offering a
low-oil alert system for reduced maintenance concerns and enhanced
equipment reliability. The low-oil alert system prevents the tamper from
operating with an inadequate lubrication level. A float gauge in the
engine crankcase essentially checks the oil supply when the operator
attempts to start the engine. When the oil level is low, the gauge
activates an electronic warning device that stops the engine from
starting, thus preventing unnecessary wear on the machine.

Trash pump
Gorman-Rupp's OTS program
introduces the 6-inch Daihatsu 3/LC diesel trash pump manufactured by
AMT. It is designed for applications requiring high-volume flow and
solid/debris-handling capabilities. The pump is constructed of
heavy-duty sand cast aluminum with cast-iron and stainless-steel
internal parts for wear resistance and durability. A patent-pending
built-in slide mechanism features nylon and powder-coated steel
components that permit servicing, repairing and cleaning the entire pump
without removing hoses or pump components from the trailer.

Engines
The newest addition to Honda's engines lineup is
the iGX, an intelligent computer-controlled general-purpose engine
designed for ease of use, fuel efficiency and quiet operation. It
features an integrated electronic control unit that delivers complete
drive-by-wire remote control capability and controls key aspects of
engine operation. iGX technology is engineered to lower fuel
consumption, emissions, and noise through reduced total engine running
time and engine speed that can be decreased based on power demands.
Because the iGX eliminates the need for manual manipulation of the choke
and throttle it is suited for rental applications.

For Homeowners/Light Contractors
Drill bit
Engineered for top performance in each diameter range, the new Hilti TE-C3X drill bit is made from a
special two-component tungsten carbide for superior shock absorption,
especially when hitting rebar, the company says. Designed to provide
superior heat resistance and ruggedness, the gradient technology
provides up to a 30 percent longer life. With a high-performance
four-flute helix design, each carbide cutting edge on the TE-C3X runs
out into its own flute for rapid drilling progress and efficient removal
of dust and fragments.

Saws
Makita introduces the Magnesium
series of saws -- the 7 1/4-inch hypoid saw (model 5377MG), the 7
1/4-inch circular saw with LED light (model 5007MG), and 7 1/4-inch
circular saw with LED light and electric brake (model 6007MGA). All
three saws feature durable magnesium components and a 15-amp
Makita-built industrial motor. In addition to the magnesium components,
the saws are built with other durability features, including a
reinforced power cord and easily replaceable parts for lower repair
costs. Makita also engineered ergonomics and ease-of-use into each saw,
including visible depth and bevel markings and ergonomic handgrips to
improve overall control while minimizing operator fatigue. The large
rubberized levers provide quick, one-handed adjustments for more
efficient work.
