Mini-Excavators
Compact
excavator
Bobcat introduces the 418
zero-tail-swing compact excavator, which replaces the model 316. The 418
features an operating weight of 2,593 pounds and a dig depth of 6 feet.
Pilot-operated controls provide consistent, smooth and fluid control of
the machine, increasing work efficiency and further reducing the
possibility of the excavator coming into contact with buildings or other
nearby objects. The operator may also choose between ISO and
standard-pattern joystick operation through a control-pattern-selector
valve.

return on investment in mind.

Compact
excavators
Whether digging footers, ripping up concrete or performing general
excavating work in tight spaces, New
Holland compact excavators offer standard auxiliary hydraulics and a
pattern-control changer. All five models — the E15, E27, E30, E35 and
E50 — feature an independent boom-swing mechanism. One pump is
dedicated to the swing circuit, which enables simultaneous operation of
the boom, arm or bucket without any effect on swing operation. The
models range from 3,240 pounds to 10,275 pounds, and produce from 11.9
to 40.8 net hp.

Telehandlers
Telehandler
The new Model 519 telehandler from Mustang Manufacturing features a
19-foot lift height and a 5,500-pound maximum lift capacity on a compact
frame. The frame of the Mustang 519 — with a length of 148 inches,
width of 71 inches and height of 76 inches — makes the machine well
suited for tight jobsites where maneuverability and the ability to pick
and place material is key. The unit has an 11-foot turning radius and is
designed to fit under a finished doorway.

Breakers
Electric
breaker
The EH 27 Low Vib electric breaker from Wacker
Neuson offers more power with less hand/arm vibration. The electric
breaker weighs 60 pounds and hits with 37 foot-pounds of impact energy
at a 1,000 bpm. The user-friendly tool also offers an additional third
handle for maximum versatility at different angles and provides greater
operator control. The heavy-duty plastic housing keeps the overall
machine weight down and is designed to prevent the machine from heating
up during operation.

Hydraulic
breaker line
The CP hydraulic breaker line from Chicago Pneumatic
includes five light models with service weights from 209 to 827 pounds.
These breakers are suitable for smaller 1.3- to 12-metric-ton carriers.
The CP breakers feature an enclosed box design and elastic damping
elements that isolate noise from the percussion mechanism and reduce
harmful vibrations. The result is reduced noise on the jobsite and less
strain on the breaker and the carrier.

Telescopic
boom
The Genie S-60 and S-65 Trax
telescopic boom models feature a four-point track system that allows
contractors to work any time of the year, enhancing traction for travel
in various types of difficult terrain. Genie’s fixed-track booms are
designed with a narrower profile — 8 feet, 6 inches wide — to allow
these booms to be easily transported without requiring special oversize
load permits and the limitations on evening and weekend transport. The
Trax models are designed with an inside turning radius of 14 feet and an
outside turning radius of 21 feet; as well as a travel speed of 2.3 mph.
Both the S-60 fixed and flexible track models offer 500 pounds of lift
capacity at the maximum horizontal outreach of 50 feet, 10 inches, up to
a working height of 66 feet. The S-65 models provide a 500-pound lift
capacity at the maximum horizontal outreach of 56 feet, 2 inches, to a
working height of 71 feet.

Vertical
light tower
Allmand Bros. introduces the V
Series vertical light tower configuration as an option for its
Night-Lite Pro Series light towers. When the light mast of a standard
light tower is retracted, it must be folded down across the light tower
for storage, transport and light fixture adjustment. But with the V
Series design, the mast retracts and telescopes in and out of its own
housing, which results in easier setup, simplified shipping, towing and
storage, and reduced potential for jobsite damage, according to the
company. Built to be compact, the V Series mast and light fixture
assembly stays within the footprint of the trailer when lowered. Also,
because the tower doesn’t protrude from the back of the cabinet, there
is less chance for accidental damage and injury when towing on the
jobsite. The unit also features an integrated bundled tray and remote
oil drain that reduce the potential for accidental liquid spills.
