Compact equipment
Wacker
introduces a new line of compact equipment that includes wheel loaders,
excavators and dumpers. The new line of wheel loaders includes four
articulated units and two all-wheel-steer machines with standard bucket
capacities of 0.26 to 1.1 cubic yards. The five new excavators range in
size from 1.4 to 8 metric tons and feature models that range from a
mini-sized unit to units with high-output engines as well as
zero-tail-swing models. The three new dumpers feature payload capacities
of 2,205 to 13,228 pounds.

Compact excavator
The Hitachi Zaxis
17U-2 compact excavator features improvements, which include
adjustable-width tracks and a backfill blade with foldable end sections.
Both features reduce the overall width to 40 inches. When fully extended
to more than 50 inches, the undercarriage provides stability for
operations. The standard quick coupler/hydraulic attachment package
allows for a wide variety of jobsite applications.

Compressors
Wheeled-portable
compressor
Jenny Products introduces
the G-series single-stage wheeled-portable compressors. The G-series
features the "G" pump, a heavy-duty, single-stage cast-iron compressor
pump that is powered by an 8-hp Honda GX series gasoline engine. The
compressors can deliver up to 16.2 cfm at 100 psi or 15.6 cfm at 15.6
psi for quick recovery. The series is available with four air tank
configurations: 8- and 15-gallon tanks, which are low-profile
powder-coated twin-tank receivers, and 17- and 30-gallon tanks, which
are powder-coated and ASME-certified.

Air compressor/generator
Three new combination air compressor/generators from Mi-T-M feature 6.5-hp/196cc displacement
or 13-hp/389cc displacement Honda OHV engines; industrial 1800- or
3500-watt generators; single- or two-stage compressors; 14-gauge
powder-coated two-piece belt guard; powder-coated 8-gallon twin tank
receivers; regulator and two gauges for tank and outlet pressure; and
manual drain valves for proper maintenance. The units are designed for
industrial applications that require electrical power and air.

Ground Heaters
Indirect-fired heater
The IDF-2000 skid-mounted, portable, indirect-fired heater from Topp Portable Air provides up to 2
million BTUs per hour for any outdoor industrial application. The
IDF-2000 is designed with two supply plenums to provide heated air to
multiple locations at the same time and two return plenums to reduce
fuel costs by re-circulating the inside air. The units are equipped for
immediate setup and require minimal maintenance.

Ground heater
The Xtreme Heat, from the manufacturers of T.H.E. Machine Co.'s
Thawzall products, features a Burnham 1 million-plus Btu/hour boiler and
is now available with either fuel oil/diesel or natural gas/propane
burners. Xtreme Heat is sheeted and trimmed with aluminum, as are all
Thawzall models. Four accessory-unit heaters are included as standard,
and each accessory-unit heater provides 250,000 Btu/hour with a
three-speed controlled 3,200-cfm blower. The Xtreme Heat is fume free
and has a low noise level. In addition to temporary heating, Xtreme Heat
also has ground defrosting and concrete-curing capabilities.

Concrete Equipment
Auger bucket
Danuser introduces the auger
bucket that is designed to mix, transport, and dispense concrete (up to
1-inch slump), sand, washed gravel (3/4-inch maximum) and asphalt. The
unit comes with a quick-attach frame on either side that allows
right-or-left-hand discharge at a rate of 1/2 yard in 50 seconds.

Chipping hammer
The vibration-reduced CP 0017 SVR chipping hammer from Chicago Pneumatic
Construction Tools features upgraded features for improved wear
resistance. Two versions of the hammer are available, both equipped with
a screw cap tool retainer and small shanks to keep the units
lightweight. The SP 0017 SVR 3R weighs 20.5 pounds and has a 0.68-inch
round shank, while the CP 0017 SVR 3H features a 0.58-inch hex shank and
weighs 21 pounds. The unit also features a standard D-type ergonomic
trigger handle.

Rotary hammer
The KHA24 from Metabo is a
24-volt lithium-ion-powered rotary hammer and can drill precise,
straight holes in concrete, block, brick or stone using SDS-Plus
carbide-tipped drill bits. The KHA24's Vibratech anti-vibration side
handle and the vibration-dampening rear handle protects the user when
chipping, rotary hammering and rotary drilling. With a no-load speed of
1.040 rpm, the rotary hammer offers a capacity of ¾ inches in
concrete using solid bits.

Concrete mixers
Stone Construction
Equpment offers 12 Champion concrete mixers available in 2, 4, 6, 7,
9, 10 and 12 cubic foot mixing capabilities. These units come in
standard side- and end-dump versions and are equipped with a choice of
engine options including Briggs & Stratton, Honda and Robin. The
9-cubic-foot size mixer features a polyethylene drum option.

Portable air conditioner
Temp-Air introduces the Topaz
portable air conditioners designed to cool quietly, efficiently and
quickly. Ranging from 1 to 5 tons in weight, these rugged units can be
rolled from room-to-room to accommodate various needs on the jobsite.
The unit is designed for A/C failure or maintenance, supplemental A/C,
computer rooms and humidity control.

Dust collector
The Blastrac BDC-1216 industrial
grade dust collector is a compact, low-profile dry vacuum that can be
used for a wide range of hand tools, small walk-behind scarifiers,
concrete grinders and shot blasters. The BDC-1216 reduces airborne dust,
providing a cleaner work environment. The tough, resin-reinforced,
pressure-molded plastic body will not rust or dent and protects the
