Heating and Ventilation Equipment
Portable
heaters
The CH-Series of portable heaters from Temp-Air are designed for versatility
with higher discharge temperatures and comparatively low air capacities.
Available from 300,000 to 1-million Btu per hr, these units are well
suited for loose enclosures such as under concrete deck pours and spot
heating applications. Installed either inside or outside, all CH-Series
heaters draw 100-percent fresh air through the intake, and discharge
tempered air controlled by a remote thermostat, while automatically
cycling from low- to high-fire to maintain the desired temperature.

Portable
heating and ventilation system
Ramfan’s UB20 portable heating and ventilation system from Euramco Safety now included a
thermostat control that maintains a desired level of warmth in a
workspace or a tent and extends the life of the propane tank. The UB20
system also delivers continuous airflow for worker safety when the
heater is not in use. The system operates on a standard propane tank and
includes a UB20 blower, the 70,000- Btu heater, a duct storage canister
and duct, plus a standard propane regulator and hose connector.

Spot
heaters
The new heavy-duty SunStar RCH Series spot heaters from SunStar Heating Products do not
use electricity and can comfortably heat an enclosed area of up to 2,500
square feet without using fans or moving parts common with many other
spot heaters. The heaters are CSA design certified and rated at 95,000
Btu per hour for propane models or 100,000 Btu per hour for natural gas
models. Both models are available in manual or thermostatic control. A
flame failure safety device is provided for safety. In operation, a
stainless-steel heat exchanger beams radiant heat around the entire
circumference of the heater for a continuous flow of heat.

Computer Software
Wireless
system
OEM Data Delivery
introduces a wireless, hands-free way to capture equipment locations, as
well as work hours, idle time and service alerts in real time. The GoPOD
is a tiny, concealed computer installed in rental equipment, and has a
GPS and a radio antenna. Information is collected passively, via
drive-by, within a range of 300 feet of the site, and is transmitted via
secure radio link. The data is then formatted, downloaded into a nightly
web report and made available on a password-protected website.

Earth-measuring
software
Maxwell Systems
introduces Quest Earthwork 7.5, the latest release of its
earth-measuring software. Customers can use the software in conjunction
with advanced machine control systems, which offer increased accuracy
with the latest laser; GPS; and machine-control applications. Quest
Earthwork 7.5 integrates directly with machine-control systems by
exporting data in the required file formats. Users have the ability to
view the entire site, or pinpoint exact sub-grade areas and contours for
staking, layout and machine control.

Auger
The Ground Hog 1M and
1M5C one-man earth drills/auger are designed to put the power of a
two-man machine in the hands of one. The right-angle design minimizes
operator fatigue by eliminating torque kick-back to the operator. The
one-man earth drill features a 7/8 square drive, tubular drive shaft and
time-tested gearbox. Heavy-gauge steel is used throughout the
manufacturing process, as well as Timken-tapered roller and ball
bearings to produce a durable, low maintenance, and high-quality
machine.
