crawler excavator
Designed for trenching and excavating in space-restrictive
applications, Terex introduces the
TC50 compact crawler excavator, the newest addition to its
zero-tail-swing line-up. Engineered for applications including
landscape, plumbing, septic, electrical and utility installations, the
TC50 has a 39.4-hp Yanmar 4TNV88 engine. It also features load-sensing
and load-independent flow division hydraulics that are matched to the
machine’s size, which gives operators a greater power ratio and
smooth, simultaneous operation to maximize worksite production.

Compact
excavator
The Case CX27B, CX31B
(pictured), CX36B and CX50B have been upgraded to Tier-4 certification,
resulting in more efficient power and faster cycle times. Featuring
Tier-4-certified Yanmar engines, the Case CX B Series ranges from 5,566
to 10,261 pounds, and delivers from 21.3 to 39.8 net hp. These models
provide bucket-digging forces up to 7,936 pounds and maximum dig depths
from 8 feet, 4 inches to 11 feet, 9 inches. All models are equipped with
a hydraulically controlled backfill blade for added stability and light
dozing work.

Hydraulic
breaker attachment
The Toro hydraulic breaker
attachment, for use with Dingo compact utility loaders, uses 175
foot-pounds of force and delivers 1,200 bpm to break materials to a
depth of 11 inches. Designed for breaking up footings, sidewalks,
foundations and other solid structures, the breaker features a
multi-position mounting head, allowing users to easily break materials
in both horizontal and vertical positions. The hydraulic breaker uses
the Dingo’s hydraulic system, which produces up to 12 gpm of flow at
3,000 psi of hydraulic power.

Breaker
The Hilti TE 905 breaker
features active vibration reduction technology that allows the operator
increased comfort because it provides up to 60-percent less vibration.
The breaker has a durable, double-casing design with a metal housing.
Using power input of 1,600 watts, the tool has a hammering speed of
2,200 bpm and single impact energy of 12.5 foot pounds. The unit is used
for breaking sidewalks, taking up ceramic tiles and knocking down brick
walls, as well as other demolition applications.

Mobile
hydraulic hammer
The Arrow Hammer model 1350T from Arrow-Master is a pneumatic-tired
mobile hydraulic hammer that operates both on and off paved surfaces. An
80-hp John Deere diesel engine provides power for the unit and the
standard transmission allows the machine to be driven at speeds up to 20
mph. The 1350T breaks, cuts and scores concrete, rock and asphalt into
sizes suitable for excavation and recovery. It also compacts and tamps
backfill, with adjustable impact up to 13,000 foot pounds.

Orbital
finishing sander
Metabo introduces the ¼-sheet
orbital finishing sander designed for sanding and fine finishing of
painted and unfinished wood surfaces. The FSR200 orbital finishing
sander features 11,000 orbits per minute at an orbit size of 1/16-inch.
Using heavy grit sanding discs, the tool offers the power to remove wood
and paint. When equipped with a fine sanding paper, it is suited for
wood finishing. The FSR200 weighs 3.4 pounds and has a dust-sealed
switch, which lengthens the longevity of the switch by preventing the
entry of dust. Metabo’s sander has a 1.8-amp motor and a soft,
rubber-coated gripping surface that reduces vibration and enhances user
comfort.

Single-phase
planetary grinder
With the acquisition of King Concepts, Husqvarna Construction Products
introduces the PG 530 single-phase planetary grinder. Created for 220-
to 240-voltage range, the PG 530 can uses the DC 3300 vacuum, a
single-dust extraction unit for wet and dry applications. The DC 3300
features the suction capacity and filtration technology capable of
eliminating airborne dust.

Random-orbit
floor sander
The U-Sand random-orbit floor sander from Cherryhill Manufacturing
features patented four-pad, random-orbit technology to aggressively sand
floors, while limiting the possibility of damaging them. The U-Sand can
also be used to edge the floor, and as a buffer to prepare the floor
between coats of finish. The unit can sand in any direction, allowing it
to fit into hard-to-reach areas such as closets and hallways.

Billy Goat releases the
Small Force blower weighing 76 pounds and allowing for easy
transportation to and from the jobsite. The unit also offers improved
handles, larger wheels and the patented Aim-N-Shoot feature that makes
this machine capable of leaf clean-up also. The blower features a 6-hp
commercial engine with a two-year warranty.

Drum-style
brush chipper
The Rayco RC 16.5 drum-style
brush chipper gives contractors a 17-inch-capacity machine loaded with
features designed to maximize productivity and keep maintenance at a
minimum. With fuel capacity of 50 gallons, the 140-hp Caterpillar diesel
engine can run all day without stopping to re-fuel. The RC 16.5 also
features Fuel Saver technology, which automatically decelerates the
engine if the feed control bar remains in neutral for 60 seconds. To
eliminate clutch maintenance, the unit features a hydraulic clutch that
engages at the push of a button and never needs to be adjusted. A
Torflex idler is designed to make belt adjustments simpler and does not
require movement of the engine. The top-feed wheel is powered by a large
planetary drive motor that provides increased torque while eliminating
problematic couplers.

Self-leveling
loader lift arms
Ramrod offers
self-leveling loader lift arms on all 2008 mini-skid models. This
feature prevents load fall back on the operator at full lift height,
eliminates the danger of losing a load during the raising and lowering
process, and provides improved dump and rollback angles in any position.
As the material bucket is lifted or lowered, it will always remain
parallel to the ground with the self-leveling feature.
