Earth-Moving
Excavator
Hitachi introduces
the reduced-tail-swing Zaxis 135US-3 excavator, which replaces the
135US. The Zaxis 135US-3 features a wider seatback, more legroom, and
more glass on the right-hand side for improved visibility. Fingertip
control reduces operator fatigue and a multilingual widescreen LCD color
monitor provides maintenance, attachment and operational information.

Crawler
dozers
The D37EX-22 and D37PX-22 crawler dozers from Komatsu are designed for work
in general construction, site preparation, home building, forestry and
utility applications. Equipped with a fuel-efficient 3.26-liter, EPA
Tier-3-emissions certified Komatsu engine, these models offer a net
horsepower of 89 hp at 2,200 rpm and range in operating weight from
17,394 to 19,070 pounds. Both standard (EX) and low-ground pressure (PX)
models offer 88 inches of track for improved weight distribution and
flotation options on the jobsite.

Demolition Hammers & Tools
Hydraulic
hammers
John Deere expands its line
of hydraulic hammers with the Worksite Pro HH100 specifically designed
for backhoe loaders. The HH100 delivers 1,200 foot-pounds of impact
energy and features a compact design that allows operators to see what
they are breaking. The unit provides consistent power with minimum
recoil because of its long-stroke piston and low-pressure,
nitrogen-charged design, according to the company.

Drop
hammer attachments
The Bobcat drop hammer
attachment breaks concrete and asphalt slabs — up to 18-inches deep
— and is designed to be used with skid-steer loaders, compact track
loaders and all-wheel-steer loaders to break up parking lots, driveways
and sidewalks. At a rate of up to 20 bpm, the drop hammer allows the
operator 3 seconds to reposition the loader in between each cycle.
Attaching and detaching the 1,950-pound drop hammer is easy with the
Bob-Tach mounting system. After detached, the drop hammer can stand
upright independently, eliminating the need for additional equipment to
lift or move it.

Compaction Equipment
Double-drum
steel rollers
Sakai America introduces
two small double-drum steel rollers. The SW320-1 and SW330-1 (pictured)
models offer a high frequency of 4,000 vpm, which translates to higher
operating speeds, while still maintaining the industry standard of 10 to
12 impacts per foot. With drum widths of 47 and 51 inches, respectively,
these rollers offer compaction and smoothness on small-scale jobs such
as municipal roads, driveways, parking lots, bicycle paths and sports
courts. The models feature a hydrostatic drive on both ends of the
machine. These dual-drive systems are designed so that materials will be
pulled beneath the drums to ensure compaction, while avoiding shoving
and checking. Improved 360-degree visibility and a view of both drum
edges are provided by Sakai’s new sliding bucket seat system.
Seatbelts and ROPS are also provided for safety and as standard
equipment on the models.

Reversible
plates
Bomag’s BPR25/40
series reversible plates have the compact size and maneuverability of a
single-direction plate, but offer a higher centrifugal force and the
convenience of reversibility. With a working width of just under 16
inches, the unit can work in confined areas that larger reversible
plates cannot reach, making the series suited for landscaping, site
prep, patios and sidewalks, and other mid-size applications. Maximum
frequency is 5,100 vpm.

Outdoor Power Equipment
Self-propelled
edger
The 1305 power edger from Turf
Teq is a self-propelled walking forward edger that features a 13-hp
Honda engine. The machine comes standard with an opening blade to create
new landscaping beds or redefine existing beds. A variety of trenching
blades are also available. The power edger features a fully hydrostatic
transmission with forward and reverse. The model 1305SP has the
capability to be converted to a power broom, power rake or a brush
cutter.

Walk-behind
turf aerators
SourceOne introduces five
models of Plugr walk-behind turf aerators with 22- to 30-inch aeration
widths. Plugrs are easy-to-operate, reciprocating aerators that produce
deep, clean holes from tines engine driven into the ground. The units do
not require add-on weights or water drums. The aerators are lightweight,
maneuverable and offer a low maintenance design that has a dual V-belt
drive. A 30-inch hydrostatic unit is also available.

Rear-tine
tiller
Honda’s
rear-tine tiller, the FRC800, features easy tilling operation through
simple controls with one-step tine and drive engagement. A front bumper
guard and heavy-duty transmission, debris shield and controls enhance
durability for rental and commercial applications. Powered by a GX
series 4-stroke engine, the FRC800 offers virtually smoke-free operation
with low emissions. The air filter allows for 600-percent longer service
intervals. The unit also features 12-inch tines for deep tilling and is
suited for breaking harder soils.

Pressure Washers
Heavy-duty
pressure washers
Pressure-Pro introduces
its line of heavy-duty commercial series pressure washers that offer
flow rates from 4.0 to 8.0 gpm and pressure ranges of 3,000 to 7,000
psi. All models feature a rugged 1¼-inch powder-coated steel removable
roll-cage frame with hose-reel platform, 15-gallon on-board
poly-gasoline tank, full-size battery with marine-grade battery box, and
engine- and pump-oil drain kits for easy maintenance. They are powered
by Honda or Kohler gasoline engines. Standard accessories include
trigger gun and insulated grip wand assembly with quick connects, and a
50-foot high-pressure hose assembly with quick connects.

Continuous-duty
pressure washers
Water Cannon introduces a
line of industrial, continuous-duty pressure washers that offer extended
run times with large, n-board fuel tanks. Operators can choose from
high-quality poly-chain or 4-V belt-drive units, rated from 4 to 8 gpm
up to a maximum of 7,000 psi for demanding jobs like heavy construction
cleaning to paint and barnacle removal. Standard units are skid mounted
and come packed with features such as rugged powder-coated steel frame,
removable complete roll cage with hose-reel platform, adjustable
pressure unloader and thermal pump protection.

Pressure
washer
The Graco G-Force 2730 pressure
washer is designed to make transport and storage easy. A Briggs &
Stratton or Honda OHV engine provides improved performance levels and a
powder-coated steel frame is durable to handle tough contractor work
environments. A built-in tip holder stores five color-coded tips in a
convenient location and the unit is easy-to-clean with a built-in water
filter that eliminates debris passing through the pump.
