The education market also holds unlimited possibilities for AV systems integrators and technology developers who are willing to tailor their products and services to the education market. Loudspeaker manufacturer Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) and Digital Village, one of the United Kingdom's leading suppliers of professional recording equipment, recently installed state-of-the-art audio technology in Britain's new Culture Lab. ElectroVoice Unveils New Ceiling Speaker System Designed for Open Environments
Loudspeaker manufacturer ElectroVoice recently unveiled the new EVid C12.2 ceiling speaker system. The C12.2 is a two-way loudspeaker installed in a durable sealed-enclosure assembly with a 12in. low-frequency cone, high-temperature voice-coil assembly and a coaxially mounted wide-dispersion dome radiator tweeter. Barco Debuts SXGA+ Single-chip DLP Projector
Barco's new iD R600 DLP projector offers advanced picture-in-picture functionality for displaying multiple sources, both video and data. This feature ensures the flexibility to show multiple windows simultaneously on a single canvas. Using seamless source switching, each source can be switched on the fly without the display of distracting onscreen warning messages. To the viewer, video images are changed into data images in an instant. The Barco iD R600 can show up to two data sources and one video source at the same time, without optional input boards. more>>

Smart Launches New Interactive Whiteboard System
Smart Technologies announces the introduction of the Smart Board 600i interactive whiteboard system, a collaboration focal point for classrooms, training rooms, and meeting rooms. The 600i system combines a Smart Board interactive whiteboard and the new Unifi projector with built-in audio.
