Western Kentucky University Selects Chyron's HX200 for On-campus PBS Affiliate
Chyron, a video graphics device manufacturer in Melville, N.Y., has announced that one of America's leading higher-education institutions, Western Kentucky University (WKU), has purchased an HX200 HD/SD-switchable graphics system. The HX200 is housed in the studio control room of WKU's television station, WKYU-PBS, a PBS affiliate that serves the south-central Kentucky region. more>>

Ashly Audio Releases CobraNet Option Module for PE-Series Amplifiers
Ashly Audio, an audio manufacturer in Webster, N.Y., has expanded its input module options for its PE-Series amplifiers with the introduction of the PNE-C2 CobraNet module. The PNE-C2 accepts both analog inputs and CobraNet digital audio at either 48kHz or 96kHz sample rates and provides two analog output signals to the amplifier as well as auxiliary analog outputs for daisy-chaining multiple amplifiers. The PNE-C2 can replace any PE-Series amplifier's standard input module when CobraNet is a requirement of the system. The module is easily replaced in the field, or factory installed when ordered. more>>

Panasonic Plasma TVs Now Feature No-lead Display Panels, Improved Phosphor Performance
Panasonic confirmed that Panasonic-branded plasma TVs are the first in the U.S. market to feature lead-free plasma display panels. The display panel is the plasma TV's glass-sealed image display device, equivalent to a cathode ray tube in a conventional television. In addition to the elimination of lead in the panel, Panasonic has made significant advances in enhancing the performance of the phosphors used to render colors on the screen. more>>
