HHB FlashMic Goes to School
Of the 514 students who attend Mark Twain Elementary School in Wheeling, Ill., 427 come from homes in which Spanish is the first language. The school embraces diversity and seeks to help students succeed in an increasingly technological society. As part of that mission, the school chose Rosa Kuhn to fill the position of computer and IT instructor five years ago. Before assuming her new duties, Kuhn served more than two decades as a bilingual teacher in the district. She recently invested in an HHB FlashMic that allows students to make recordings of lessons and projects that are easily uploaded to the Internet. Students analyze their speech at home and share their work with family and friends. more>>

Andrea Taras
Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany
I am studying media computer science at "Hochschule der Medien" in Stuttgart. Currently I am writing my diploma thesis about communication in virtual online worlds which presumably will be finished in April 2008. I have worked with a wide variety of tools used in media production (like 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, Combustion, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Flash) and was involved in the movie production of an educational movie for a science institute. For the latter I have filled various roles, from scriptwriting to directing, 3D animation, and postproduction. For the future I hope to expand my knowledge and experience in the media business as much as possible. With my diverse background in many media fields I am open to all kinds of media productions to take part in. Watch the reel>>
