SMART Board interactive whiteboards installed in military training systems

SMART Technologies Inc. announced the installation of Rear Projection SMART Board(TM) interactive whiteboards in a high-end, simulation-based training system for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and Canada's Department of National Defence (DND). Militaries around the world are implementing simulation-based training as a cost-effective and realistic alternative to traditional training models. The SMART Board interactive whiteboards are components of the Atlantis Integrated Maintenance Training System (IMTS), a simulation-based system developed by Atlantis Systems International. The interactive whiteboards provide touch capability for interactive training, and the large-area, high-resolution display necessary to show graphically intensive software applications. The IMTS supports aircraft maintenance training for RAAF's F/A-18s and the DND's CF-18s. Click here for more...
