The PMD570 systems are in use as the primary audio recording and backup systems for complex streaming Web events, such as shareholder meetings and product launches, that Thomson CCBN hosts in more than 46 countries each year. Product News Elmo P30 Combines XGA Document Camera with Digital Effects Slide-show Producer The ELMO P30 packs a full-featured XGA output document camera and a professional digital effects slide-show producer into a compact 10.4lb. package. Proprietary ImageMate software for presentation and movie creation makes possible storage/playback of still/moving image data and creation of 'PC-less' presentations. MSRP is $2950. The P30 produces video/film slide shows from images captured on the SD memory card, permitting full manipulation and control of the images saved to its memory. The images can be downloaded to a PC's hard drive via USB port as JPEG images for archiving or for enhancing presentations. It can store more than 2,048 XGA images. Slide shows can be produced from documents, 3D objects, 35mm slides/film strips, merging them into Hollywood-style productions with effects such as fades, wipes, interval slide feed, stripes, doors, and many others. The new SchoolPad 400 and MeetingPad 400 provide users a smaller footprint; a longer, 40-hour battery life; and a rechargeable pen.
