They require baluns to convert to 75-ohm impedance, but provide pan/tilt/zoom cameras with video, control and power functionality in a single, composite cable pull. www.belden.com/UTPCCTV Corporate A/V Top Story Corporate executives responsible for adopting AV and presentation technologies are faced these days with an increasingly confusing environment in whichperhaps paradoxicallydeclining prices and ever-simpler systems have made decisions more difficult. Installation News National manufacturing consulting firm, TBM Consulting Group, has brought its LeanSigma Institute's in-plant tours into the 21st century with wireless portable systems from Listen Technologies. Doing so has resulted in better client service, including the ability to conduct several tours concurrently with no cross-channel interference. LeanSigma Event Coordinator Cheryl Groves says, "Our firm needed something clear-sounding, easy to use, and easy to transport." This is no small task when conducting tours for groups of 50 to 200 in noisy plants. "Listen equipment makes us look good to clients and prospects, and we know the system won't fail in the middle of a plant tour for 50 senior-level executives," she adds. News & Events Robert McFarlane to Speak at Data Center Decisions Robert McFarlane, a partner at Shen Milsom & Wilke, will give two sessions at the Data Center Decisions Conference: "Some Like It Hot, But Not in The Data Center: Cooling Today's High Performance Technology" and "The Shocking Truth About Backup Power: Why Just Buying A UPS Is No Guarantee." This latest design will replace the company's popular UPD cart this summer, bringing with it a touch of elegant industrial design. It features a dark gray base with elliptical curves, polished chrome poles, and total cable management for a clean look. The series allows users to opt for either a static stand with adjustable floor glides for easy leveling or a cart with smooth-rolling, 4.5in. casters for added mobility. Cables may be routed inside the chrome poles or behind an optional magnetic cover pack (CPA) that completely covers the poles with a material that matches the dark gray base.
