AV Organizations Pulling
Together for Katrina Relief
Hurricane Katrina has left a significant part of the
pro-AV industry reeling — with integrators, dealers, hotels, rental
firms, and others struggling not only to get their own businesses back
in operation, but also to rebuild their future business in a devastated
market.
The New Orleans Convention Center isn't expected to reopen until the
end of March 2006. Dozens of conventions, large and small, have
relocated elsewhere, and many major hotels are out of the meeting
business until further notice. The International Association of
Exhibition Management is even offering a relocation assistance service
to show managers who need new sites in a hurry. more>>

New Plenum Enclosure
Facilitates In-Ceiling, Flush-Mounting of ELMO HV-C1000XG Document
Camera
A new plenum enclosure, constructed of heavy gauge
galvanized steel, facilitates in-ceiling, flush-mounted installation of
the ELMO HV-C1000XG
document camera. The camera, sold separately, can be attached to a
standard LCD projector mount and attached to the housing of the plenum
enclosure. Once mounted, the camera can be easily adjusted from front to
back and side to side to make it easy to locate the box in the ceiling
architecturally in relation to the lectern's surface.
The camera, designed for ceiling-mounted applications, captures
detailed overhead images of documents and 3D objects and displays them
on a large LCD screen. For use in installations requiring unobstructed
podiums or tabletops, it is ideal for municipal government meetings for
