Part 2

 World Market Center Las Vegas, host of the
semi-annual Las Vegas Market event and year-round home to the Las Vegas
Design Center, opened its third building this summer and will continue
expanding aggressively over the next five years. To guide visitors and
tenants through the rapidly growing, multi-building complex, a
sophisticated, custom-developed wayfinding kiosk system was developed
and piloted this past summer by Las Vegas-based CoSign, which also
manages World Market Center’s digital signage network. Part 2 of
SVC’s interview with Robert Garity, founding partner and vice
president of sales and marketing for CoSign, discusses the challenges of
automatically plotting routes through “multiple floors of multiple

Crestron Controls Las Vegas
CityCenter
 Crestron Electronics has been chosen to
control the lighting, audio, and video in the expansive front- and
back-of-house convention center space in the ARIA Resort & Casino, the
centerpiece of the world renowned Las Vegas CityCenter. Scheduled to
open in December 2009, ARIA will provide a premium event experience with
a unique blend of modern architecture, distinctive decor, and 300,000
square feet of technologically advanced meeting and convention space.
Seventeen Crestron control systems manage lighting and AV throughout the
common areas and 74 meeting spaces from 93 touchpanels. Crestron
RoomView Server Edition building management software enables central and
global monitoring, management, and control of all devices and

Signage
StrandVision, a provider of hosted digital-signage
services, announced that Triangle Management & Investment, which
operates four Choice Hotels in Florida, is using its digital-signage
system for guest communications and services at the Clarion Resort &
WaterPark in Orlando, Fla., with plans for an additional deployment at

Digital-signage System with Proximity Advertising
DT Research, an industry leader in the development of
information appliances for vertical markets, announced the immediate
availability of the WebDT event-trigger digital-signage system. This
innovative system extends current interactive digital-signage
capabilities from touchscreens to events that occur in close proximity.
The system detects when a customer picks up a product, walks up to a
