McGill University and University of Victoria Use HaiVision Makito for Interactive, Internet-based Seafloor Exploration

HaiVision Network Video today announced that its Makito HD video encoder will be used to enable delivery of live video from two pioneering interactive seafloor observatories off the coast of British Columbia. First the VENUS (Victoria Experimental Network Under the Sea) and then the NEPTUNE Canada (North-East Pacific Time-Series Undersea Network Experiments) observatory will use the Makito to deliver high-quality, low-latency video to laboratories, classrooms, science centers, and homes around the world via the Internet. more>>

JVC Partners with Optex for IP Perimeter Protection Solution

JVC Professional Products has entered into an agreement with Optex to market an IP Perimeter Protection Solution that integrates JVC's line of V.Networks PTZ IP cameras with the new REDWALL REDSCAN RLS-3060 synthesized intelligent PIR (SIP) detection system. JVC announced the partnership at the International Security Conference & Exhibition 2009 (ISC East) at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City (Booth 1452).
