Envision Peripherals Releases 50in. Plasmas at Mainstream Prices
They were $25,000 just a few years ago, and the exclusive domain of the wealthy, but look for 50in. plasma hi-def TVs to hit U.S. shores late this year at a very mainstream, sub-$2,000 retail price. That's the word from Envision Peripherals, the Fremont, Calif.-based marketing arm of Hong Kong-based TV assembly company TPV (Top Victory Electronics).

TPV, a worldwide OEM supplier of PC monitors and LCD and plasma TVs, is also making a push with its own Envision and AOC brands and plans to ship a $2,399 Envision-branded 50in. plasma stateside in time for the holiday season. more>>

Designed to match a flat-panel TV, Anthony Gallo Acoustic's Nucleus Reference AV speakers are based on the company's Reference 3.1 design and available in vertical and horizontal configurations.

Installers can mix or match speakers to fit customers' needs in a left-center-right arrangement. The speakers can also be used as a stereo pair or as surround or rear-channel speakers in a full-blown system. more>>

Vidikron Projector Provides Proprietary Video Processing

The Model 90 DLP projector incorporates Vidikron's proprietary Imagix video processing, along with a three-chip DLP engine.

The onboard processor is said to scale any standard-definition video source to native HD resolution without the artifacts or picture grain associated with lower-quality processing chips. Resolution is 1280x720p. more>>
