End Volume Wars

monitors to help combat a serious and often under-appreciated problem,
volume creep.
"Stage volumes in churches have gotten out of control. In church,
suddenly you have a heavy metal concert going on. People are literally
leaving the church because of the volume," reports Craig Sibley,

Christ Fellowship Church
Selects Streambox for Multi-site Video Distribution
Christ Fellowship Church, based in Palm Beach
Gardens, Fla., has deployed a number of Streambox SBT3-5100
ACT-L3 encoder/decoder solutions for distribution of realtime video of
services to multiple worship venues over an IP multicast network.
Christ Fellowship Church wanted a solution that enabled multiple
venues to view the same video source in realtime while putting in place
an infrastructure that facilitated flawless transmission of Sunday
services. The church tested a number of other systems and solutions but
selected the Streambox SBT3-5100 ACT-L3 system for its capability to
deliver broadcast-quality video and provide high compression, forward
error correction, and advanced network capabilities, all in one
integrated device, over an IP multicast network to remote worship
facilities. more>>

Kramer Adds Two Compact Scalers
to its Tools Family
Kramer Electronics, an ISO 9001:2000 certified
company, and a worldwide supplier of audio, video, and computer graphics
signal distribution, switching, and processing equipment, recently added
two compact video scalers to its Tools product line: the VP-413 and the
VP-415.
The video scalers are designed to accept a composite or S-Video (YC)
signal and scale it up to a computer graphics video output resolution.
They can scale video up to VGA (640x480), SVGA (800x600), XGA (1024x768)
or WXGA (1366x768) resolution in RGBHV output format. The VP-413 has an
analog output on a 15-pin HD output connector, while the VP-415 has both
a digital and an analog output on a DVI-I output connector. Both models
have an input selection switch to toggle between the composite video and
S-Video (YC) inputs and a resolution button to toggle between the four
output resolutions. Both models have 3D de-interlacing circuitry and 3D
comb filters resulting in extremely high image quality from such compact
