Receives Approval for Dane County Electric Transmission Line Project After more than five years of public involvement and regulatory review, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin verbally approved a vital addition to Dane County’s electric transmission system. New Transmission Line, Substation to Bring Reliable Power to Upper Columbia Valley BC Transmission Corp. has identified a plan that will ensure safe and reliable electricity to the rapidly growing upper Columbia Valley region. Juan de Fuca Cable - Transport Canada Navigable Waters Permit Issued Sea Breeze Power Corp. reports that Transport Canada has granted a “Navigable Waters Permit” to facilitate construction of the Juan de Fuca Cable Project, a 550-MW High Voltage Direct Current Light submarine transmission line to connect Vancouver Island and Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula. Extra High Voltage Substations Planned in India AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division has recently won four orders worth approximately €50 million to supply Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd. (PGCIL), India’s main transmission utility, with four extra high voltage (765 kV) substations. ATC Receives Approval to Rebuild Transmission Line The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin has approved American Transmission Co.’s application to rebuild the 18-mi, 69kV electric transmission line that connects the Brodhead Substation and South Monroe Substation in Monroe.
